Courteney Floodgate Structure Construction

Canterbury Regional Council has engaged G&T Construction to undertake construction and installation of a new floodgate structure across the Courtenay Stream at Kaiapoi near the confluence with the Kaiapoi River. The works covered by this contract include installation of a bypass diversion channel, temporary works design for the sheet pile structure required for construction purposes, demolition and removal of the existing floodgate structure, excavation, subgrade improvement, supply and installation of precast concrete panels, in-situ concrete work and reinstatement works including stop bank tie-ins to the new structure.
